How did you end up in the industry? After moving to San Diego from Portland, OR in 2013, I made some friends with Holistic Health students. They encouraged me to check out their school and I did! I thought I was already on my career track as a Food and Beverage operator, but I absolutely fell in love with the wellness world. I completed my Holistic Health Practitioner Degree with specializations in Shiatsu, Western Massage, and Whole Foods Nutrition. Fast forward 12 years and I am still completely in love with our industry and community.
If you are not working…what are you doing? Family and friends are everything. We cook, hike, and take advantage of the beautiful year round beach weather here in San Diego, CA. There are always at least 3 books and a Kindle on my nightstand – I especially love a good historic fiction or sci-fi to get my mind off the day!
Recent books or movies you’ve enjoyed? I just finished Let the Tornado Come by Rita Zoey Chin – this memoir pulled me in deeply and touched every parts of my mind.
Favorite vacation taken? My honeymoon – we were young, pregnant and we went to Palm Springs. We were on the edge of our lives together and everything was possible. The desert is always so special to me because it evokes all the memories of that first trip together!
If you were not in a spa career, what would you be doing? I dabbled in Journalism in college and actually wrote for the paper and other publications. I find a great attraction to the life of international world reporting and would probably find myself in the middle of a great story.

What new treatments have you added recently? I just created an 80 minute Youthful Glow Body Treatment which incorporates a lemon rose sugar scrub, an anti-aging wrap (with delicious scalp, neck and shoulder massage), and an organic rose infused lotion application.
What is your signature treatment? Our Signature Ocean Pearl Massage is an 80 minute full body massage with the use of a heated herbal poultice over each body area.
What percentage of your business comes from Retail sales? 8-12% on average
