How did you end up in the industry? I started coloring my hair red when I was 15. I quickly realized that I needed a way to keep up with the expense of coloring my hair every 3 weeks. My path began when I started working at a salon when I was 16 years old as a receptionist. I fell in love with the people in this industry and the idea of an hour changing someone’s outlook/day/self confidence. I’ve never looked back!
If you are not working…what are you doing? Working out doesn’t count as working, does it? I get my friends together for yoga, cycling, etc…
Recent books or movies you’ve enjoyed? I’m late to the game, but I’m finally reading Harry Potter. Many of my employees are obsessed with it (to the point of having multiple tattoos) so I agreed to read the series. I’m enjoying book 4. Not enough to get a tattoo though…
Favorite vacation taken? My husband and I vacation with our best friends and we recently visited Roatan, Honduras. It was magical. The diving, the sunsets, the food and the people were unforgettable.
If you were not in a spa career, what would you be doing? That is unimaginable! I would definitely be involved in something that helps people feel good. Perhaps life/nutritional coaching.
