Newly introduced FICA Tax Tip Fairness legislation would give salon and spa owners a dollar-for-dollar credit on the employer’s share of FICA taxes paid on employee tips – a credit already enjoyed in the restaurant industry.
If passed, this tax credit would allow salon owners to reinvest those dollars back into their businesses and the industry.
