from WECT.com – A day at the spa turned into a major fundraiser for Ovarian Cancer research Monday.

1051 Salon and Spa in Wilmington hosted a cut-a thon to benefit She ROCKS, a local foundation dedicated to raising money for research on one of the deadliest types of female cancers.

According to Amy Dickson of 1051 Salon and Spa, the cut-a-thon raised $9,500. All of the proceeds will go to She ROCKS for research.
