After its last edition in Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil), the International Fair of Thermal Tourism, Health and Wellbeing returns to Europe, and will be held in Ourense (Galicia-Spain) from September 17th to 21st.
Its celebration in Galicia, allows attendants from thirty different countries, a higher added value experience for professionals delegations.
After the celebration of its fourth edition in Latin America, Termatalia International Fair of Thermal Tourism, Health and Wellbeing, returns in 2019 to Ourense (Galicia-Spain) evolved as a niche summit and meeting point for agents who work in the development of hydrotherapy Worldwide. The 2018 excellent performance business actions at Foz do Iguaçu, bringing together representatives of 34 countries, have helped to reinforce the main asset of the fair; which is the peer-to peer networking that it generates comprised of different European and Latin American industries associations which actively collaborate and participate in it.
The Summit’s 19th edition starting on September 17th until 21st will gather professionals from over 25 countries. Consolidating its role as a thermal bridge between Europe and Latin America, Termatalia goes a step further and expands its scope incorporating Middle-East and Asia Pacific markets. This inclusion will generate a vast network of 27 delegations in 55 countries and 4 continents, which will contribute to build new opportunities among highly specialized representatives in this niche. It is also a proactive encounter where each year new countries are incorporated, like El Salvador most recently added delegation.
Professional visitors will be able to join different training actions included at the commonly called “Termatalia Week”, concentrating three important international events related to health tourism in the province of Ourense, between September 17th and 21st, converging with Termatalia celebration on September 19th and 20th. Taking advantage of powerful synergies and bringing together professionals from variety of sectors in thirty countries, two more congresses will be held in a complementary manner that will contribute to Ourense’s development and positioning as an International hub for thermal training. “Termatalia Week” will start with the International Congress on Thermalism and Demographic Challenge organized by “Thermal Raia” project in the Balneario de Lobios ( Lobio’s Spa) lead by the Province Council of Ourense, Miño-Sil Hydrographic Confederation and the cross-border thermal town halls, and financed by Interrreg Funds from the European Union.
The next professionals meeting will be the III edition of the “Thermalism and Quality of Life Symposium” directed by the Water Campus of the University of Vigo.
The professionalization of touristic, industrial and business sectors will continue keeping a prominent place in the fair through a Trade Meeting Service between Tour Operators and Hotels, hospitality suppliers, potential buyers from various countries, bottled water and distributors as well as professional visitors.
The professional actions planned for the next edition will also reinforce another great value of Termatalia, which is the knowledge exchange in training sector. The pre and post fair professional training courses in thermal centers of Galicia will once again position this community and fair ground as an unlimited thermal training encounter. These complementary training activities can only be attended by professional delegations.
In addition, professional delegations from more than 25 countries will turn the city of Ourense into a world thermal capital. Its celebrations leads the thermal tourism in Spain offering professionals around the globe the possibility of taking tourism routes all through Galicia to know the welfare offer as value proposal, which will contribute to its worldwide promotion.
To incorporate new exhibitors and professionals, Termatalia started an intense international campaign at FITUR-Madrid and other main world tourism and thermalism forums such as the ITB Berlin, the BTL Lisbon and the Annual Congress of European Spa Association (ESPA), furthermore to promotional and academic actions in different countries of Latin America.
