How did you end up in the industry? I have a degree from Eastern WA University in Recreation and leisure services. I started out of college working for a resort in Oregon, running the pool and doing activities for the guests. After 2 years I was asked to take over the spa that was not doing well financially. I didn’t know much about spa’s, besides going to them. I got a crash course that first year and never looked back – now it’s been almost 20 years!
If you are not working…what are you doing? If it’s Football season, you can find me cheering on my EWU Eagles! I also serve on the Alumni board for Eastern WA Univ, which keeps me busy.
Recent books or movies you’ve enjoyed? Loved reading Wild
Favorite vacation taken? Always fun trips traveling with my College football team to watch them play.
If you were not in a spa career, what would you be doing? I can’t imagine not doing what I am doing now, however, if I was doing something different, I would be a sports broadcaster.
