Eastern Vibration Expands US Presence to Spread Healing Power of Sound-Certified Approved Provider for NCBTMB Continuing Education

Manufacturer of Himalayan Singing Bowls Educates Spas on Sound and Vibration Therapy for Treatments and Retail

Miami, FL (December 21, 2015)- Eastern Vibration, a boutique multi-national company focusing on sound and vibrational therapy, has announced their growing presence in the US. The manufacturer and distributor of Himalayan singing bowls has received NCBTMB Certification as an approved Continuing Education provider. A 2-day, 16 credit NCBTMB training program in sound and vibrational therapy is available throughout the US.

Eastern Vibration is the passion project of global spa industry veteran Christine Hays and her son Jahmaal. A former ballerina dancer with a background in massage therapy and yoga, Hays has decades of experience developing and operating spas. Her experience as Vice President of Oberoi Spas, and as a former spa director for Starwood, has been invaluable to the integration of Eastern Vibration treatments and retail products into luxury spas worldwide.

“Eastern Vibration was born out of our passion to share this profound healing modality. On a trip to Nepal when I was Spa Director at the Oberoi in India, Jahmaal and I noticed that Himalayan singing bowls were ubiquitous in every household. Jamal became fascinated and studied the positive effects sound and vibration have on brain wave frequencies and the body on a cellular level,” said Hays. “Sound therapy is recognized as medicine, and is being used on cancer and stroke patients. It is truly a wellness experience.”

Hays started using the bowls in treatments at the Oberoi for stress reduction, and the company has grown organically. U.S. expansion comes on the heels of Eastern Vibration’s success in luxury spas across the Middle East, Asia and Europe. Luxury hotel partners include Four Seasons, Hilton, MGM, Mandarin Oriental, Ritz Carlton and Six Senses Resorts & Spas.

“Six Senses has had the pleasure of working with Christine Hays and Eastern Vibration the past years and the addition of singing bowls to all our treatments has had fantastic response,” said Anna Bjurstam, Vice President of Spas. “The quality and handcraft ship of each bowl is of highest standards and we look forward to continuous fruitful relationship.”

One of Eastern Vibration’s exciting collaborations on U.S. soil is Tierra Sante Spa at the Faena Hotel, a new billion-dollar project in Miami Beach. The Himalayan Singing Bowls are an integral part of the treatment menu, and custom-made bowls are for sale in the spa boutique.

“We have different levels of participation for all types of spas,” adds Hays. “For an initial investment of under $5,000, spas are able to launch a comprehensive sound and vibration program, which includes bowls for treatments, training and retail inventory. The key is training-the singing bowl is an instrument like a piano, you must know how play it.”
