Hi friends, as a 30-year veteran of the Spa channel, I’ve seen many trade show events come and go. Last year, I was invited to MC the 1st Annual Salt Therapy Association show and when I tell you “it blew my mind” it’s the truth. Since the beginning of the cell phone (and yes we’re all guilty), literally during this two-day event, I didn’t notice anyone using their phone while in education. That says a lot! A conference meant to pull 50 attendees from around the globe, had 250 plus show up and additional walk-ins had to be turned away. In our business of “shiny new objects,” it’s rare for something to come along that trends (and is not a fad) and salt is one of those items. I’m lucky to have been in many salt rooms over the last few years and it is now part of my treatment protocol.
