Hi friends, I’m not a great golfing in fact I’m a middling golfer but I love the game and like so many other games,  you can’t get real good at it because your partners say things like “keep your head down, don’t sway, move the ball forward…” and 13 other things too difficult to explain.

What it does take is perseverance!

There is no way around it, you need to practice the right techniques, even when they don’t feel right you just have to stay at it. Oh and by the way, practicing on the golf course isn’t the answer. You need to go to the range, the putting green, the chipping area and hone the new technique. Even if you don’t play golf, you understand the premise…practice, practice, practice. (Substitute whatever word you want; rehearse, roll-play, etc).

“Allan, what does this have to do with the spa channel?” Ok, I’m about to tell you lol…I’m taking a year’s worth of lessons at GolfTec and I go once a week, take the lesson, practice for 30 minutes more, try and play during the week, hit more balls, do again! Everything is different today, even in our beloved spa-channel. You can’t rely on the same “game” you’ve been playing for years. You need to change up the technique, practice new protocols, update your menu, retrain your staff and more.

Learning a new “game” takes time and practice. Don’t expect to change your spa overnight, but start the process. There’s a radio host in Minnesota and his favorite expression is “make a move” and I agree. GET STARTED!

It’s going to take time, the changes don’t always stick but stay at it. Periodically, something works and it’s enough to get people to continue to keep at it.

My golf index is 13.7 and I want to be a 9.9 by next October….I’m GETTING STARTED, you should do the same!
