A scream breaks through the peaceful sanctuary and several bathers look around to see what, or who has created the ruckus. A splash from the cold dip pool and a very quick run to the safety of the sauna reveal that it was just part of the thermal cycle, here at Spa Nordik.
The icy water in this large pool, fed from a waterfall is set to a chilling 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Many guests avoid it altogether or venture in up to their thighs before dashing back out. Only the very brave submerge themselves fully into the frigid pool.
Your reward for that act of bravery and the next stage in the cycle is to rest in any of the dedicated spaces either indoors or out, depending on the weather.
